Unicorn Stores (HK) Ltd. (formerly known as UNY (HK) CO., LTD.) was established in December, 1985. It opened its first store in Cityplaza at the Eastern District in 1987 with the mission of “delivering high-quality, sincere and courteous service of a department store from Japan to customers”. It later expanded the business to the Kowloon side in order to serve more people in Hong Kong.
“APITA” is a composition of two Italian words, “apice (pioneer)” and “tasca (pocket)”, meaning “prophet’s pocket”. APITA’s concept is to create a shop which is like a pocket that fully stuffed with all the latest and trendiest information, and being so, APITA is aimed to provide you with the best ideas of living.
With this unique concept as blueprint, APITA’s logo is a breakthrough design. The two triangles symbolized the “A” of “APITA”, which imply “the First” and “the Best”. Being the initial of the 26 English alphabets, “A” also suggests “to start from APITA”. Furthermore, though a harmonious mix of the distinct and bright APITA yellow and the APITA grey which brings out the metropolitan image, the sharpness and modernism of APITA were perfectly showcased.
“UNY” was named from 5 words: UNIQUE, UNITED, UNITY, UNIVERSAL and UNIFIED. UNY is a retailer that specified in unique merchandising with creative marketing concepts.
The sole strategy of UNY is coming from the rising sun filled with strong movement and warmth. All people are expressing their attitude warm-heartedly. The strength of the rising sun symbols the flexible and dynamic UNY supports social needs by its future development and energy.
